We make a difference
The business idea has always focused around the idea, that we can raise the quality within bus operations in Copenhagen, and therefore we will make our bids where we believe we can make a difference.

At Anchersen we want to be the ones who set the standard.
Our vision is to be the leading operator within both coach and regular service. We want to be recognized for our soaring quality and employees who takes ownership of their work.
That is why we are creating a strong Anchersen brand and a safe workplace.
ANCHERSEN’S VALUES
Our work is based on our five core values: quality, service, flexibility, safety and cooperation. These core values serve as a guideline for how we can provide our customers with a good experience when traveling with us as well as a guideline for a work place where everyone thrives and takes responsibility for their work.
Quality
High quality is always in our core and our customers should be able to trust that we deliver what we promise. We take responsibility for our work and take our responsibilities serious in order to create the best result. Quality is mainly that our buses is in mint condition and is being driven by a welcoming competent driver.
Flexibility
Being a flexible company means taking into consideration the wishes of our employees and customers. This is the basis for our ability to always develop our company and keep the versatility.
Cooperation
We stand united to create a workplace that we are proud of. Our organization is flat and the tone in the company is informal, but we have a professional environment where everything works because we have a close relationship with our coworkers and customers.
Service
We are a service company, which means that a high customer satisfaction is paramount for the survival of the company and therefore this should permeate throughout all we do. Good service delivered is many things; it is motivated workers, timeliness and helpfulness. Good service is therefore to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.
Safety
We never compromise on safety. Our buses meet all the environmental and safety demands and we constantly make sure that our buses is maintained and serviced on our own workshop with relevant educated personal.
ANCHERSEN’S HISTORY
Anchersen was founded in 1997 by the then 22-year-old Poul Anchersen. Since then the company has experienced a constant growth and gone from being a one bus company in Ringsted to being a company with more than 530 employees and 145 buses.
Our customer base primarily consists of companies and other private sector parties. However, 40 % of the turnover comes from bound contracts for driving schoools and kindergardens with the municipality of Copenhagen
These bound contracts are an important part of our business, as they ensure employment for our drivers all year.
DAILY BUS SERVICE
In 2007 Anchersen made a bid on Movia’s tender for service buses. At first we won the bid for three lines and then another ten in 2008, and by 2010 there were 15 buses and 21 drivers in our bus service department.
From the beginning we have focused on raising the quality of the bus service in
Copenhagen, which is reflected in the high quality levels in all bids by Anchersen.
Our efforts have been acknowledged by our passengers, as we were awarded
“Operator of the year” in 2010 and 2011.
ORDINARY DAILY SERVICES
In 2011 we became a new player in the ordinary daily services of the Copenhagen area. In Movia’s largest bid so far, Anchersen won the operation of seven bus lines, which meant a tripling of the number of employees and buses. It also meant that the old bus garage had become too small, and we began the construction of our current facilities at Avedøre Holme.
In 2014 and 2015 Anchersen was involved in the establishment a number of new companies. These include Red City Buses ApS, which operates sigthseeing buses in Copenhagen and Copenhagen Info ApS, which is a tourist information company. These two companies fusioned with the open-top company Red and Blue at the end of 2015, at which point they moved out of Jernholmen under the name Touristry.
In August 2015 Scandiwear ApS was established. Scandiwear produces corporate clothing and company gifts. In 2015 Anchersen also took over the coach service company Vridsløsemagle Turistfart, which continued under its own name.
2015 was also the year we won bus line 4A in Movia’s A12 bid, winning another 33 buses and 120 employees.
In 2019 Anchersen launched the concept called Weekend-ski with short ski trips by bus to Sweden.
Anchersen took over operations of lines 18 and 350S in december 2019, and reached up to 530 employees. With this, Anchersen also started the operation of 27 new electric buses on line 18.
BERGKVARA – A STRONG PARTNER
The constant growth of the company is noticed by the investors and in 2009 Anchersen got a new stable partner in Sweden’s largest private sector bus company, Bergkvara Buss. Today Bergkvara owns 49 % of Anchersen and is represented in the board, but does not take part in the daily operations. The partnership means that we operate more than 650 buses combined in Denmark, Sweden and Germany, which gives us a big competitive advantage in both our coach and daily service departments.
